Every business should get on ChatGPT Ads now
Averaging at RM30 per CPM and cost per click of RM0.93
I feel all funny inside when someone asks me, "What's the average CPM for [some ad platform]".
Because I dunno.
The cost of ads varies by niche, time, location, and audience.
OpenAI Ads (ChatGPT Ads) launched in September 2026. Marketing experts started talking about how much it costs.

But the truth is... The only real way to know how much it costs, and whether it works, is to test it.
And so we did (shoutout to Runway Uniform):

So far, we've secured 2 verified leads from the ChatGPT Ads campaign for our client-partner, The Runway.
With the limited data I have, here's what I see ChatGPT Ads mean for businesses in Malaysia:
1 - ChatGPT Ads is a blue ocean
Almost nobody is running them. If you run them now, your brand will have a first-mover advantage.
I remember driving a full room of customers with just an RM50 on Meta. Doesn't happen anymore today. While I don't see that happening in ChatGPT, I see the same "early" window now open with ChatGPT Ads. We're very early.
2 - The numbers are big
ChatGPT has over 1 billion weekly active users. Most users are using the free tier, which is where ads show.
Studies claim that because the intent of users on AI tools is stronger, they convert better. I'm too early to confirm this. I'll share more as I uncover more data.
3 - It's not that expensive... yet
So far, the costs of running ChatGPT ads is still relatively affordable. It's not super cheap, but it's not crazy expensive either.
Click-through rates are also above average. This must be because it's new for users asking on ChatGPT as well.

4 - People don't scroll. They ask.
We can't see what users ask before they arrive at your ad.
But understand that users don't scroll on ChatGPT. They ask stuff like, "Which uniform supplier has a low minimum order, like 10 pieces?" or "How much do custom company polos cost in Malaysia?"
Your ad shows up right below ChatGPT's answer at the moment the user is figuring out what to do next.
If you're considering running ChatGPT Ads, book a call with me. I'll also share the numbers I'm seeing with the campaigns I'm running, so you know what to expect.
Marketing Agencies: Save 15 hours per week with a 2nd brain

AI is killing agencies. I don't say that in a way to spread FUD. But it's real that agencies are losing clients who think AI can do it for them.
The future of agencies belongs to the ones who produce results for clients. Instead of pitching "we make 10 videos per month", it's now "we get you 50% more customers by making 10 videos a month".
And to stay profitable and lean, agencies must start looking into building a second brain for their team to move and produce fast.
