No such thing as “all-in-one”
Think you've found the ultimate all-in-one platform? This might make you rethink what “all-in-one” really means.
I’ve been spending a lot of time in Go High Level, shifting projects (including clients) to the platform.
It’s hard to pinpoint what the platform is, because it’s marketed as the ALL-IN-ONE sales and marketing platform. To put it bluntly, Go High Level is a:
- CRM
- Funnel builder
- Website builder
- Email marketing platform
- WhatsApp platform
- Booking platform
- Social media automation & planner
- Forms and survey maker
- Membership platform
- Automation platform (like Zapier)
- White-label platform
Every day, I find something new.
Then again, I remind myself that good marketing is about people and less about tools.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m impressed with Go High Level. It seems to be able to do just about everything I need it to do, but not without a few annoying kinks.
Don’t buy into ‘all-in-one’ marketing
Today, I still see businesses marketing themselves as “one-stop solution” or “full service”.
Truth is nobody is truly a one-stop shop.
As amazing as the Go High Level platform is, I find a few annoying things here and there.
- For example, there’s no inline HTML editing for elements on the site builder. Something fairly easy on a WordPress site.
- Order bumps look so dated; the design feels like it came from the year 2000.
- Inexperienced customer service (more on this below).
The best customer service I’ve ever experienced from a business is WPX hosting. Chat support answers in below 5 seconds, and they KNOW stuff. The support is able to debug and fix.
High Level outsources support to India (this is what I noticed). When you have a tech issue, you’re forced to wait 10-15 minutes in a Zoom call, only to be told that they can’t solve it and will raise a ticket for someone to help.
I’ll say that their 24/7 live Zoom call for support & onboarding is amazing, though.
Don’t get me wrong. High Level is an amazing platform.
But my point is this. I was sold that using the platform meant I no longer needed other apps like Typeform, Zapier, and Mailerlite. However, it’s been 2+ months in, and I’m still subscribed to them – because my workflow would break without them.
So, to my point – there’s really no such thing as an “all-in-one”. Better to specify that one thing you’re really good at and market the heck out of it.
Marketing conference + pickleball

Somehow, I knew this would happen. Someone would hold a marketing conference on a Pickleball court. My only regret is that we weren’t the first ones to do it.
Because attention is everything.
And while every other conference is held in a conference hall (boring), Mole made a very smart move by hosting their event on a Pickleball court.
