It's all material

Everything that happens in your life can be material for your marketing.

It's all material

My favourite thing to do during Underdog Con, is to observe people.

Great marketers are students of markets.

And I noticed something in the last 2 events I've ran.

More phones.

Not people taking photos during keynotes. But people shooting content during networking sessions.

In the last two conferences, I observed that almost every speaker I invited, had brought a staff to shoot videos of them speaking and when they were going about conversing with people.

Each of them had a mic on them. And they had a guy or girl following them around, just shooting.

It's all material.

To be a good business operator or creator, you have to live an interesting life.

There are no wasted experience.

Successes, setbacks, road bumps, unfortunate things. Anything that happens in your life & career as you navigate it is material.

And damn, you should use them.

The content and ads that works are usually the rawest looking photos and videos. Not the polished ones or the ones designed by AI.

One of my top-performing ad for the Founder Brand webinar was a shaky video I shot on my phone.

If you're posting something today, sift through your phone's gallery. The best content opportunities is already in there.

And keep documenting as you build your business and execute.

It's all material.

Which is why you want to be at Breaking Barriers with King Quah, next week – 23rd Sept at Common Ground, Jaya One.

The lessons you'll take back and the people you'll meet, will provide you with so much material it'll be silly to miss the event.

Plus, maybe you'd want to bring a video shooter along with you.
