The “Good Outside, Dying Inside” Business

Behind the shiny social feeds and 7-figure claims, many businesses are barely breaking even. Learn how to fix your profit.

The “Good Outside, Dying Inside” Business

You’ve seen it.

That business that looks great from the outside. Big revenue numbers. Shiny social feeds. Lots of customers.

I mean, we even used those kinds of titles for past Underdog Con editions:

Don’t take this wrong. Mike & Jared are 100% legit.

A lot of what you see out there. On social media…

People bragging about 7-figure, 8-figure revenue!

But peel the curtain back and there are a few common things you’ll find:

  • Owners stressed out because profit margins are super thin
  • They run more ads to get customers. But end up using profits to pay for ads
  • Cashflow so tight they borrow money just to keep momentum.

The trap: Revenue  ≠ Profit.

Mike from PTT Outdoor shared something that stuck with me:

“Revenue is vanity, profit is sanity”

And it’s true.

With costs rising, the only way to compete is on economics. Apple spends big to acquire customers, but they always make it back.

Revenue alone is a vanity metric. It hides inefficiency.

e-Commerce sellers: Fix your profit

If you’re an e-Commerce business selling on multiple platforms, it’s time to fix your profit. It’s not enough to measure revenue alone. Profit is what keeps an e-Commerce business running.

My friend Andrew – owner of BRP Analytics, an e-Commerce analytics platform, will be offering a FREE live workshop session to show you 5 fixes to increase profit (not just revenue)

BRP Analytics powers e-Commerce brands like Zucca, Panasonic, Claire, and Toshiba. The best part is Andrew will share real case studies during the workshop.
