But there are two takeaway lessons here:

1/ Know your customer.

No, not demographics or stuff like that.

More like what's really going on in their head?

  • What are they worried about?
  • What's keeping them up at night?

I have just increased the chance for any marketers who run Facebook ads to open my email, with the title – by understanding what's going through their minds.

Sure it's a clickbait. But that's a discussion for another topic.

2/ Have fun!

People get too serious as they get deeper into business.

But don't forget to have fun.

One of our ads that got the highest ROAS, was a silly picture I decided to take with my smartphone.

A near 8X ROAS. It's ridiculous.

And so, the best marketing could be the one you decide to have fun and put some creativity into.

After all, aren't we supposed to have fun doing all of this?
