As a 10-year-old boy, there was a video game I hated.
Tekken.
I would go over to my cousin's for a dinner get-together. After dinner, he would invite me for a game of Tekken.
If you didn't know yet, Tekken is a player-versus-player fighting game. I would pick the coolest-looking character. My cousin would only choose this one character who "fight dances", Eddy. (I later learned it's a Brazilian martial art called Capoeira.)
Every game ended up nearly the same. My character would get "combo-ed" non-stop. Pow, thud, kapow... In under 10 seconds, it's over.

Marketing combinations
Why am I talking about video games?
Because there's an important lesson: combinations
Once, I placed a digital billboard promoting a data science course.

Number of sales from the billboard: 0
Not surprising.
I don't think billboards alone can do the trick for many products and services. But as a medium for mass marketing, awareness, and pre-selling – it does an amazing job.
Digital advertising and running webinars were already successful for us.
Combined with the billboard and social media, conversion rates jumped.
Marketing combinations bring in the business. This means you have to create combinations that work best for your business. Marketing combinations are like one-two punches that do a better job than a single blow.
For many companies, the marketing combination consists of five to six punches rather than just two.
Marketing combination examples:
College: Open Day event + social media + education fair + billboard + podcast advertising + digital ads
Influencer Marketing Platform: Conferences + workshops + radio interviews + paid advertising + email marketing
Tuition Centre: Door-to-door flyers + banners + newspaper + digital ads + WhatsApp marketing + events
Pickleball Court: Word of mouth + social media + media publication + influencers + competitions.
