Ever come across an offer so irresistible you almost feel stupid for saying no?
I'm in China right now. I was shopping around, when I came across a store selling ice lemon tea.

¥36 for a cup. (~RM21)
I was about to pay... but hold on. There's an offer.
Buy a flask for ¥98 (~RM57) and get:
- 3 “Year of the Horse” bag charms
- A clay horse ornament
- A mini plushie
- And the lemon tea… free
Let me break it down:
Option 1: ¥36
- 1 cup of lemon tea
Option 2: ¥98
- 1 flask
- 3 bag charms
- 1 clay ornament
- 1 plushie
- AND the same lemon tea (free)
Wow wee. What a great offer. I bought the second offer and ended up spending more, for what possibly cost them very little to make. And I didn't even actually need the flask, ornaments, charms, or plushie.
It just felt irrational to say no to such a great offer!

What just happened?
I stepped back and realize they weren't selling me a drink. I was sold an offer I didn't want to miss.

Here's how it works: You don't make your core product the hero. Instead, you make your bonus stack so attractive that the core product becomes an afterthought.

Don't just sell a product.
