Email deliverability is big. Because your emails could be the best thing online, but it's no good if its entering your recipients' spam box.

I recently subscribed to a newsletter and noticed a little known tactic to stop your marketing emails from going into spam.

Here's the email I got after subscribing:

Here's a body from the email.

The tactic is simple. Ask people to reply to you.

When they do this, their email provider (ESP) labels your email as important. The next time you send an email, it has a higher likelihood to land in their inbox instead of spam.

Of course, this is not a new tactic.

Here's one example from Content Mavericks:

And from Ramit Sethi:

And one from Cult Creative (quote "Daily CMO" for a special deal):

Your email don't matter if they don't land in your recipient's inbox. Because how often do people check their spambox? Use this tactic, and take it as an opportunity to connect with your readers.

In the age of AI, storytelling is a superpower. It's also one thing I want to do more of this year.

People are attracted to stories. Generative AI cannot tell your story. You're the expert of your own experiences.

If you want to spread your ideas or business, do it through storytelling. Share stories on social media, ads, email and on stage. And everyone has a unique story.

We designed Authentic Impact, a workshop with Dean Yeong next Saturday to help you spread your ideas by telling better stories.
