Could have saved RM2290
Turns out, I was spending more on email marketing than I was on actual marketing—and I didn’t even know it.

Remember the time when email marketing meant using either Mailchimp, AWeber, or GetResponse?
These email platforms are bulky. You end up paying for features you don’t use.
Sometime in 2021, I was paying Mailchimp USD94 per month for 8000+ subscribers.
That’s roughly RM4,788 a year.
I didn’t know then, but I would have saved RM2,290 with a simpler platform like Enginemailer.
Mailchimp charges based on people on your list (even unsubs). So that becomes costly quickly.
That’s RM2,290 I could’ve used for ads. Instead, I paid to store the email addresses of people who unsubscribed.
