It's probably because you're not getting the results you want. You're not winning.

It's probably not burnout. Nobody ever got burned out from playing their favorite games.

I had a friend who'd play DOTA 2 all day. And man, he was good at it. He wins most of his matches.

Let's flip the situation. Do you think he'd still be that enthusiastic if he were to lose every single game he played? Probably not. He'll probably be mopping, sulking, and complaining about the game.

Our fatigue is often caused not by work, but by worry, frustration and resentment.

The answer to this fatigue is to do the work that you've been putting off. Face the worry. And the best tip I've heard (and shared recently) – act "as if" your job is play.

Because when we work, we want to do less of it. But when we play, we want to play more.
