I was at a low

The day I lost my Facebook account was the gut-punch I needed to stop building my business on rented land.

I was at a low

As a business owner, you have your highs and lows.

Some days you feel like you’re crushing it. And some days, you feel like – WHY DID I GET INTO THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE???

I experienced a low just a few weeks ago. Funnily, it’s not because I ran out of cash or something, but because I lost access to my personal Facebook account.

It was an emotional rollercoaster.

When it happened, I was in disbelief. “No way! I’ve never been dishonest with my marketing.”

Then rage. “How can Meta just lock me out? From ads, business manager – just like that?”

Then I tried negotiating with myself. “Maybe, I should reach out to support and say I got hacked.”

Then came the dip – “depression”. “Why me? Is this the end of a marketing career?”

I sat there thinking. I’ve been doing this for years. Help clients grow. All it took was on misinterpreted ad?

Finally, came acceptance.

Okay, I’ve lost my account. I can create another account. This as a lesson – that I’ll never be secure as long as I continue building my entire business on rented land (Meta).

This was a 2nd wake-up call.

I’ve long advocated for building your own email list. But I’ve never gone hard enough at it. So, I’ve been rebuilding differently:

  • Building new lead magnets
  • Doubling down on our social platforms – mainly Instagram and YouTube

I made a video about why META disabled my personal account and what you should do. Watch it below:

Build your own audience with me

Instead of just building an email audience and not knowing what to do with it, I’m going to show you the strategies we use for the brands we work with.

This includes our really high-converting 5-day email sequence, that turns cold email audience into paying customers. This works extremely well through storytelling, not hard-selling your audience.

The live program launches on 20th August
