At Daily CMO, I tell my team all the time.

If you can shorten a process from having to take 8 clicks to 2 clicks, do it.

I insist on having all project links in one dashboard (We use Basecamp).

Plus a couple of other "OCDs" like:

  • Put your mouse/trackpad tracking speed to max
  • Use shortcuts to add hyperlinks (Command + K)
  • Double-click a word to select it.

These rules and “hacks” don’t seem like much. And I’m weird for insisting on those, but they are serious productive boosters.

Few people talk about it. Most people like talking about apps, because it's cooler than saying something like – learn to type faster!

The point is – when things flow easier, you get more done and complete what you wanted to do.

E-commerce is the same

Think about it.

You sell something online. Then add road bumps – like forcing people to take 10 steps instead of 2 steps to complete a checkout.

Maybe you spend thousands on marketing to drive traffic to your website. But if you continue to annoy your customers, conversions will only drop.

That's why Amazon's 1-click patent was a game-changer! In the year 2000, Apple paid $1 million to license the patent.

Luckily that patent has now expired.

Customers these days want speed, convenience – and experience.

Get your customers to click "Buy Now"

To boost conversions on your e-commerce store, create a must-click "buy" experience. Make it so great that customers can't resist it.

We're running a live session on YouTube tomorrow – 29th August, Wednesday at 10AM to show you how to do it.
